- Quiet Weather Continues

No widespread rain or organized convection expected through at
least Monday. Slow moving isolated showers and thunderstorms are
possible today and Friday in pattern of warm advection and
increasing moisture return in deep southwest flow. Upper ridging
building in over the weekend should limit precip chances to
isolated at best until a northern stream shortwave trough flattens
the ridge late in the weekend into early next week.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z FRIDAY/...
Issued at 151 PM EDT Thu Aug 7 2025

Among the VFR cumulus cloud field this afternoon, the chance of a
shower or isolated thunderstorm popping up and affecting an
aerodrome is about 10-20 percent, relatively greater chances being
northeast of a GRR-JXN line, to include LAN. In the off-chance a
heavier shower develops, it would be capable of localized LLWS
from non-severe (that is, surface wind gusts less than 50 knot)
microbursts.

Moisture and unstable air around 5,000 feet early Friday morning
may pop off a few thunderstorm cells over Western or Southwestern
Lower Michigan.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 133 AM EDT Thu Aug 7 2025

Conditions will remain relatively calm although south winds
increase today and over the weekend with waves expected to be in
the 2 to 4 foot range by Saturday north of Holland.
